4D Write to 4D Write pro Commands

Hi All,

I am in the process of converting 32-bit code to 64 bit and using 4D Write
pro in the process.

I would like to know if there is a replacement for commands for

WR ON COMMAND
WR ON COMMAND (0;"")
WR EXECUTE COMMAND
WR ON EVENT

I have tried INVOKE ACTION but could not get it to work in 4D Write Pro.

Thanks & Regards,
Nisha Fernando

As WR pro is embedding directly in 4D, there are not direct replacements for these commands, and you do not need to intervene (for instance with WR on Command, where you might want to make the ‘SAVE AS’ command function in a particular way) as you can directly code that intervention by making a menu item that performs the task on the form. I may be missing the point of your question so it might be useful for you to give a specific instance. I found moving from 4D Write to 4D Write Pro (something central to our application) a really big job as it is very different and am still learning!

Hope this helps

Steve

Remember that Write Pro must have focus when you call INVOKE ACTION.

If you call INVOKE ACTION from a button, use the button’s Property Inspector to uncheck “Focusable”, as shown below:

focusable

Thanks Steve.
It is being used to for project methods like below.
WR ON COMMAND (0;“Letter_Proc”).

Thanks Jeremy.

I will try the Focusable as suggested.
