Displaying a form

Hi, I am a 4D beginner. I am just testing around to learn 4D…

How do I display a list form?

I created a table called TEST, list form called TEST.o, detail form, and entered some records.

Then i created a project form and added a button on it.

I’d like to display the list form when the button is clicked.

I use the Open form window command. The TEST.o form flashes and disappears.

Open form window([TEST];“TEST.o”;Movable form dialog box;Horizontally centered;Vertically centered;*)

Did I use the right command? Could you please show me.

Thank You

Here is a simple code that you can try.

ALL RECORDS([TEST])
 // display the current selected records in list mode, using default output form
MODIFY SELECTION([TEST])

or

ALL RECORDS([TEST])
 // open a window using TEST.i dimension
$win:=Open form window([TEST];"TEST.i")
 // display the current selected records in list mode, using default output form
MODIFY SELECTION([TEST])
CLOSE WINDOW($win)

Being that you are new, I recommend going through the self-training (https://doc.4d.com/4Dv16/4D/16/Self-training.100-3246838.en.html). Although it was created for v16, most of what you’ll see is still applicable with the newest version

Thank you very much.
