ORDA and print label

Hi,

Just to get confirmation that using ORDA, I have to move to a selection if I want to be able to print label ? If not, how do you proceed?

Patrick

that’s right; if you prefer to use PRINT LABEL, you have to use a current selection.

else, you could design a complete new printing framework,
based on JSON form, FORM LOAD, ORDA, Form, Print object and so on.

new wine, new skin bottle.

in between, you could use a form with a list box fully based on ORDA, while converting to current selection mode to use standard editors.

By example for a report (given that $table is a pointer to your current table and Form.list stores the entity selection used for the list box):

<code 4D>
USE ENTITY SELECTION(Form.list)
QR REPORT($table->;Char(1);True;True)
</code 4D>

or to use the query editor:
<code 4D>
USE ENTITY SELECTION(Form.list)
QUERY($table->)
If (OK=1)
Form.list:=Create entity selection($table->)
End if
</code 4D>

Thanks to both of you!
I will have a look on your proposal.
